Mushroom House is proud to be a provider of the 3K For All program..

Our staff has been approved by the NYCDOE to provide a high-quality program that is designed in accordance with the standards and provisions that the NYCDOE mandates. An explorative learning style that is comprehensive, includes in-depth play-based learning across all domains.

Mushroom House adopts and follows Department of Education curriculum:

Exploration

Grounded in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, Explorations provide instructional opportunities for 3-K for All teaching staff, children, and families to connect, explore materials, and learn together. Explorations invite engagement in comprehensive, in-depth, play-based learning across domains. Topics and activities in the Explorations begin with routines and the classroom community then progress to more abstract ideas throughout the year.

Explorations are grounded in research on developmental expectations as described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five (ELOF), which outlines the skills, behaviors and concepts programs foster as they engage with our youngest learners. By using the three Explorations (1) our community, (2)our environment (3)our actions as written, programs will support all of the preschool goals included in the framework.

3-K For All runs five days per week from September to June and adopt a full-day schedule (6 hours and 20 minutes).
